First Time See Planting

This is my first time planting seeds from a previous plants yield. I planted 2-3 seed per compartment assuming I’d be happy/lucky if 1 grew each. Well, almost all of them sprouted. When do I separate them into their own compartments? I didn’t want to do it too soon and rip the roots or kill the plant.
