Ingredients:
6 green bell peppers
1 lb ground beef
1- cup instant rice uncooked ( such as minute rice)
1 medium small onion diced
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 – 15 oz can of tomato sauce divided.
( I prefer lots of sauce so I double this amount.

Directions:
Step 1- Prep Peppers by washing, slicing tops off and removing seeds and pulp.
Note: if you prefer you can slice each pepper in half lengthwise. My personal preference.
Set peppers aside.
Step 2- In a medium sized mixing bowl combine
Ground beef, rice, 1 cup of tomato sauce, diced onion, garlic, salt, pepper and onion powder. Mix well until well incorporated.

Step 3- Once the mixture is ready, generously stuff the peppers.
Step 4- Place peppers in a baking dish mixture facing up.
Take the remaining can of sauce and add 1 cup of water in and mix well.
Pour this mixture around the peppers making them appear as little boats in water.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake @ 350 degrees for about 1 hour and 35 minutes then remove foil, top with additional tomato sauce and cheese, if desired and continue to bake for 15 minutes more. Remove from the oven, let sit for 10 minutes then enjoy!

  1. Would you use green peppers or red peppers for this recipe? 👀 Also… are you Team Cheese On Top or No Cheese?

  2. I believe you maybe my age maybe a bit younger I subbed, I been watchin your recipes and some of them are just the way my mother made them just like this one. Thank you

  3. Love the Lemon Bowl you mixed everything up in. Where can I buy it? Also, love your videos. My husband loves stuffed green bell peppers. We'll have to try these out.
    Thank you.😊

  4. Some of my family members love extra rice and not the pepper so much , so just for them I always make extra rice mixture and layer the bottom of my pan with it and nestle my peppers in it. It is flavored just like the peppers and yet they will eat it and don't eat the actual whole pepper. Go figure. Now may I say I love the whole peppers or cut in half and just love the flavor of pepperfigure. I also love mine very saucy. Those look absolutely delicious and I probably will be making some 1 day this week. Wish I already had fresh peppers but it's a little bit too early. I also do the colored peppers and poblanos work well. Pretty much like you just like my mama did. They are the very best. Enjoy.

  5. Roger there’s always some knucklehead out there. That’ll argue with you about what to call something. People are unbelievable these days.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

  6. Hamburger is the same as ground beef. People call the same thing different names. Like people call a purse a pocket book. People call a refrigerator a ice box. Soda and pop etc Depends where you live

  7. Try using boudin with ground beef and onion cooked and drained with smoked Gouda on top. Delicious. I love traditional stuffed peppers as well, but I like to mix things up occasionally.

  8. I missed this yesterday, so now I am happy to report I am making this tomorrow! We love stuffed peppers, thank you Roger for the best recipe! Easy to make, and the extra meatballs are a plus for a meatball sandwich the next day! 🤗

  9. My mom made her peppers just like that but she boiled hers in a pot with tomato juice on top. I didn’t like them like that. I had to put ketchup on it to get flavor lol. I bake mine now and I use tomato sauce and I slice up smoked sausage and put them around my stuff peppers or stuff cabbage, whichever I’m making. I do that for my kids, they love it with the sausage in it. I can do without it lol. Do you have a cornbread salad recipe?

  10. I find green peppers are too harsh. I use red, yellow, or or, orange. They are all the same price in the area I live in.
