Hot Dogs w/ Chili (Plant based)
Carrot Dog Marinade
(8-10 Peeled Carrots)
1/4 cup liquid aminos (or low sodium soy sauce)
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
2 teaspoons maple syrup or agave nectar
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooking and Preparation Instructions:
Peel and shape carrots like hot dogs.Boil the carrots for 10 minutes. Prepare marinade add carrots to it and let them marinade 24 hours or overnight. Cook in skillet the next day in some of the marinade.
Easy Hot dog Chili (Plant based)
2 1/2 -3 cups beefless crumbles or other substitute ( other options WFPB: soy crumbles, soy curls ground up, canned/cooked brown lentils, mushrooms,tvp)
1 medium onion
1-2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce “optional” (make sure vegan friendly if strict)
2 tbsp. organic ketchup (you can sub with barbecue sauce if you’re in a pinch)
2 tbsp. mustard
1 cup tomato sauce ( or salt free marinara sauce)
½ cup water
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1-2 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cumin (add 1/2 tsp more if you like)
Pinch of paprika (optional)
Cook chili on low with lid on for 15-20 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Fix your dogs and enjoy!
