In this video i showed how to make smoked bell pepper chili chicken
A delicious BBQ style chili chicken recipe made with a smoky bell pepper By using one roasting pan and a blender. It also adapts well to a closed lid style BBQ. Simple to make, and if you make this the day before, it’s even better as the sauce works like a marination. The sauce is made using red bell peppers(capsicums), they are charred black and peeled.
Make sure you cook the chicken long enough to get a few black burnt bits on top. They are so tasty! Serve it with a crispy fresh salad, rice or potatoes. Enjoy my smoky bell pepper chili chicken.
Ingredients
Chicken 300g
Red bell pepper 1
Salt to taste
Pepper 1 tbsp
Honey 1 tbsp
Butter 2tbsp
Garlic 4
Onion 40g
Soaked dried chilies 6
Chicken stock 1/2tsp or soy sauce 1tbsp
Red chili powder 1tsp
To make a masala
Method
*Grill the bell pepper until it turns black
*Grill the garlic along with bell pepper
*Place the bell pepper and garlic in the mixing bowl and keep covered for 15min
*Rub the pepper softly it helps to remove the burnt skin and chopped it
*In a mixi jar add smoked bell pepper, smoked garlic, salt to taste, pepper, honey, soaked chilies, onion, chicken stock, chili powder, butter, blend it into a fine paste
To make a smokey bell pepper chicken
*Add the grinded masala in the pan
*Add chicken slices it can be a mixed pieces or breast
*Cover and cook in a medium flame of 15minutes
*now open cook in a high flame for 15min(Make sure you cook the chicken long enough to get a few black burnt bits on top)
*let the gravy thicker like showed in the video
*top it with cilantro serve it with some salads or fresh baby spinach
