Save My Sanity Chili

This E, healthy carb, recipe in the Trim Healthy Cookbook on page 81, has truly “saved my sanity” on several occasions!!
I browned my ground deer meat in a cast iron skillet! Secret veggie hack with mushrooms! After adding the mushrooms to the cooked ground meat, you can add the seasonings. Next, I combine the remaining ingredients in a large pot, reserving the onions for solo sizzle time in the cast iron skillet!
***In the vid I said the simmer the chili on medium to high heat, ***nope*** please simmer on medium to LOW heat for 30-45 minutes stirring often.
Serving suggestions for mama: This recipe is an E. I enjoy a bowl with a sprinkle of cheese, dollop of fat free greek yogurt and Tostitos Baked Corn Chips.
Note: the chili ready tomatoes has sugar, yikes! I learn something new er’ryday friends…
Serving for family: serve chili with on plan (or off plan) corn chips, grated cheese, sour cream & avocado! We do enjoy sliced cucumbers too!
