COPY CAT WENDY’S CHILI
2 pounds fresh ground beef OR morning star crumbles
1 quart tomato juice 1 (29-ounce) …
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 large tomato diced
1 (15 oz.)can red kidney beans with juices
1 (15 oz.)can pinto beans with juices
1 large onion, chopped
2 stalks of diced celery
1 diced green bell pepper
2 to 4 tablespoons of chili powder (use less for milder chili)
2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
pinch of sugar-optional
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper- optional
GARNISHES:
shredded cheddar cheese
sour cream
green onions
Brown the ground beef it a big pot. Drain off the fat ,but save 1 tablespoon of it ,in the pot. And the remaining ingredients to the pot. Cover the pot and let the chili simmer for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes.
Then ladle up and serve with your garnishes.
