Chili on chilly days only makes sense right?! Now that’s it’s cooling down here out west, it’s time to bust out those fall/winter recipes! What are your favorite fall dishes? Recipe below 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
1 pound of Chorizo
1 Red Pepper
1 White Onion
3 Cloves of Garlic
1 can of Diced Tomatoes
3 Cups of Beef Broth
6 ounces of Tomato Sauce
3Tblsp of Chili Powder
2tsp Dried Oregano
1tsp Ground Cumin
2tsp of Salt
1tsp Black Pepper
1Tblsp Garlic Powder
1Tblsp Onion Powder
1 Sazon Packet1 can Red Kidney Beans
1 can Black Beans
1 can Small Red Beans
Sauté onions, peppers and garlic. Add the chorizo and brown. (I cook my chili in the crock pot but you can do it in a big pot as well.) Add the meat mixture to your crockpot and turn on high. Begin adding the remaining ingredients. Cover and stir occasionally for 2-3 hours or if in a regular pot 1 hour will be fine. I also added some smoked sausage, sour cream, cheese, pickles and Fritos to my chili but you can top it however! Enjoy!
*I added a Cornstarch slurry (just water and cornstarch mixed) to thicken the chili and if you like your chili spicy try adding hot sauce and/or Cajun seasoning!
