Until we started making our Watermelon Waves hot sauce, I never really paid much attention to when watermelon season started and ended. This year, we had some incredibly sweet melons, which made some of our best sauces yet.
I love finding ways to use the whole melon—turning the fruit into sauce and the rind into candy. It’s fun, delicious, and a great way to savor that fresh watermelon flavor just a little longer into the year.
