Honestly I think the aesthetic of the tacos have made it as popular as it is just as much as the taste itself. I only learned from quesabirria from Instagram lol

Nope that’s how I serve mine. With a side of tortillas and cosume on the side if you want it.
I am not a fan of shredded meat. Most places serve their birria tacos with the meat like this, so I don’t eat it from restaurants that much.
When I make it at home, I treat it like pot roast, with big chunks.
If Mexican joint served it in a platter, but with cubed meat, I would partake.
I wish more places did goat or lamb birria.

I love it this way too! I will still eat it with tortilla or tostadas with some lime and toppings. Some extra salsa.
No, birria as a soup is how it should be served. It’s annoying that almost no places serve it the traditional way anymore.

This is the way I ate it growing up. Any time there was a wedding, quince, or large party, birria was the dish served.
I didn’t have a birria taco until my late 20’s.
