Casa Playa is bringing a little Latin energy to Dubai’s beachfront dining scene
Outdoor dining season is making a comeback, and Dubai’s already giving us new places to add to the list. The latest? Casa Playa at Banyan Tree Dubai, a new beachfront restaurant and bar bringing Latin American flavours, sunset views and music to the table. And with cooler evenings (almost) here, the timing couldn’t be better.
A little taste of Latin America
The menu brings together flavours from across Latin America, with Peruvian-style ceviche, Mexican tacos, Argentine-style grills and Spanish tapas, all designed for sharing. Highlights include The Pearl, a selection of sea bass ceviche, tuna tartare and oysters with spiced tomatillo relish and lime. There’s also Pulpo a la Brasa, charcoal-grilled octopus with smoked potato purée and charred lemon. If you’re dining with a group, the Casa Playa Grand Catch brings jumbo prawns, Canadian lobster and whole butterflied sea bass to the table. And for dessert? Cinnamon churros with dark chocolate sauce and dulce de leche, or Tarta de Santiago, a traditional Spanish almond cake served with Chantilly cream.

Dinner with a sunset soundtrack
Set along the beachfront at Banyan Tree Dubai, Casa Playa opens daily from 6pm to 10pm, making it a great option for dinner as the sun goes down. On Fridays and Saturdays, a live DJ plays Latin-inspired music, adding a livelier atmosphere to the evening. From Sunday to Thursday, there’s a more relaxed playlist running from 6pm to 9pm. Whether you’re planning a date night, dinner with friends or a catch-up by the water, it’s an easy new addition to Dubai’s outdoor dining scene.
