Hi friends, today I’m going to share my version of homemade chili. It’s very simple to make at home. I’m actually making some more today 😁. Chili can be make so many different ways. Some people make chili with no beans but today I’m showing you a version I grew up eating. This version has 2 kinds of beans, along with peppers, onions, garlic. I’m keeping it really simple by using a chili seasoning pack. I love letting mine cook for several hours too. I feel it really makes the chili taste so much better! You can top yours with anything you want. I love cheese, green onions and cilantro and of course a pile of crushed up saltine crackers…Mmm. One thing to note…Always check it for seasoning. Add some salt at the end if it’s needed. Trust me, salt will change your dish! Don’t forget the salt. Lastly if you want your chili to taste good, let it cook as long as possible. 1 hour just isn’t enough time!
Here’s the ingredients you’ll need:
1 Onion-diced
1 jalapeno -remove seeds & diced
2 kinds of peppers-diced
3-4 cloves of garlic-minced
2 cans of San Marzano whole tomatoes-hand crushed with juice
2 kinds of beans-drained and rinsed
1 pack of chili seasoning- I used McCormick.
Salt & pepper to season
Sunflower oil to cook the veggies/meat
1 pound of 93% lean ground beef
Toppings- cheese, green onions, cilantro, saltine crackers
I hope you guys can make my version of chili. It’s really comforting on a cold day!
