Grandma's secret recipe of easy & delicious Mutton chilli Stew

Grandma’s amazingly tasty Mutton chilli Stew was always one of our family’s best kept secrets. It’s an easy to make no oil, no gluten, no dairy recipe made with just a few spices , mutton, red chilli & coconut milk. It is probably inspired by a Dutch lamb dish blended well with spices of Kerala and is a perfect combination with rice. Enjoy making & having this mouth watering recipe.

Ingredients:

Mutton- 1 kg
shallots( small sambar onion)- 2 cups
peeled & sliced
ginger- 1 Tbsp finely chopped
whole pepper- 1 tsp
fennel seeds- 1 tsp
cinnamon- 2″ piece
cardamom- 4
cloves-12
red chilli(deseeded) -20
coconut milk extracted from 1 coconut
( approximately 1 1/2 cup diluted coconut milk & 1 1/2 cup thick coconut milk)
salt to taste ( approximately 1 1/2 to 2 tsp)
