Everyone loves chili on a cold day! This crockpot recipe is half deer meat half beef but you can substitute all beef or all venision. Cooking it slow in the crock pot all day bring out more flavors. It’s full of more flavor the next day if you have leftovers.
Ingredients
2 lbs chili meat (course ground beef)
2 lbs venison
2 cans tomato sauce
1/2 can water
1/2 can beer (any type)
1 package of Wickers 2 Alarm Chli (use the chili powder, paprika, cumin)
1 bell pepper (any color)
1/2 onion
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 jalapeno
2 pods minced garlic
Salt/Pepper
Cajun seasoning
Olive oil or butter for sauting veggies
Directions
Brown the meat. You can brown all together if you want. Season it while it’s browning. Put tomato sauce, 1/2 can beer, 1/2 can water, cilantro and seasonings (including 1/2 to full packet chili poweder, packet of paprika & cumin) in the crock pot. Drain then add the browned meat to the crock pot. Saute the veggies in olive oil or 1 T butter and add to the crock pot. You can cook it anywhere from 4 to 10 hours. Serve with cheese, fritos, chopped onions or other options tostitoes, crackers or heated flour tortillas.
