Honey chilli potato is one such example. It is a perfect medley of sweet and spicy with a lot of traditional east Asian flavours to give your meal the right start. The most important thing to perfect in this recipe is the crispy crunchy potatoes. With my recipe, you will be able to create the perfect crunchy potatoes every time! I have always loved Honey Chilli Potato just because of how simple and creative it is.

potatoes – 3 large or 500gms
in boiling water
salt – 2 tsp
for the dry coat
rice flour – 1 tbsp
all purpose flour – 1 tbsp
cornflour – 3 tbsp
for the slurry
cornflour – 6 Tbsp
rice flour – 4 Tbsp
all purpose flour – 4 Tbsp
oil – 2 tsp
salt to taste
water as needed
oil – 1 Tbsp
minced ginger – 3/4 Tbsp
minced garlic – 1 1Tbsp
spring onions – 4-5 bulbs
soya sauce – 1 tsp
chilli sauce – 1 Tbsp
ajinomoto – 1/4 tsp ( optional)
ketchup – 1.5 Tbsp
salt to taste
roasted sesame oil – 1/2 tsp (optional)
vinegar – 1/2 tsp
water – 1/2 cup
cornflour – 1.5 tbsp
honey – 2 Tbsp
roasted sesame seeds – 1 Tbsp
spring onion greens – handful
