Whenever I go out to a restaurant that has chili oil, I pile it onto my food like a mad man. And I always leave wanting to bring the oil home with me. With a little research online, I found that it’s not too difficult to make. I found some awesome recipes by Joshua Weissman and Marion’s Kitchen that I used to assist me on my chili oil journey. I also have my sous chef Timmy (my cat) who will be helping me in the kitchen. Mostly, he will be trying to eat food that I drop on the floor. I hope you enjoy my first youtube video!
Ingredients I used:
1 pint of peanut oil
2 tablespoons of black vinegar
3 small cinnamon sticks
5 star anise
2 shallots
6 garlic cloves
1/4 cup coriander seeds
1/4 cup Szechuan peppercorn
1/4 cup sesame seeds
