Ingredients
For rice
300 gms basmati rice
2 liters water
Salt as required
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp oil
1 bay leaf
2 green cardamom
1 black cardamom
1-inch cinnamon
8 black peppercorn
4 cloves
half onion
half carrot chopped
For chicken
3 tbsp oil
3 green cardamoms
1 black cardamom
4 cloves
1-inch cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
4onion
3tomato
ginger garlic paste
5green chili
turmeric powder
black pepper powder
garam masala
lemon
Marination of chicken
1 kg of chicken
Salt as required
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
red chili powder
1 large onion (golden fry)
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
Garnish
coriander leaves
Mint leaves
garam masala
Method
– Marinate the chicken by adding ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, and red chili powder mix it nicely.
– Add the marinated chicken into the pan and fry
– Cover it with a lid and cook on medium flame till it’s done
– In a pan add ghee and oil once it heats up add spices and onion, lower the flame and add water and salt.
– Add the washed and soaked rice to the boiling water and let it cook on high flame.
-add oil in a pan once it heats up add onion ginger garlic paste green chili and tomato then add turmeric black pepper powder and garam masala
-once the masala is ready to add fried chicken and coriander leaves then squeeze half of the lemon
– Place and rice into the chicken masala and cover with lid on it and cook it on low flame for 15-20 minutes
– Garnish it with coriander leaves, fresh mint, and garam masala
– Chicken Biryani is ready to be served
