Ingredients to make chicken chili:
Batter ingredients:
All-purpose flour (Maida)- 6 tbsp
Corn starch- 2 tbsp
Baking powder- ½ tsp
Salt to taste- 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Garlic powder – 1 tsp
Egg – 1
Chili powder – 1 tbsp
Water – as needed to make batter
Oil for frying
Chili sauce :
Ketchup- 3 tbsp
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Schezwan chili sauce – 1 tbsp
Flavoring salt – ½ tsp
Salt to taste- 1 tsp
Chicken chili:
Chicken breast- 400 gm
Oil – 2-3 tbsp
Ginger & garlic, chopped- 2 tbsp
Onion, cubed – ¼ cup
Mixed capsicum (green + red) – ½ cup
Chili sauce – 5 tbsp
Green onion & cilantro, chopped – ¼ cup
Preparation.
-Prepare the batter to fry the chicken by mixing the above ingredient listed in the batter ingredient section.
-Add chicken pieces to the batter and fry it on medium flame till they are nice golden brown in color and perfectly cooked for at least 8-10 minutes. Once they are cooked transfer to the plate or bowl with paper towel, so the excess will be absorbed.
-Prepare the chili sauce by mixing the above ingredients listed in the chili sauce section.
-Cut all the vegetables in your desired shapes, size and keep it aside.
-Measure out all the required ingredients and keep it aside.
Process
-Heat the oil on a wok, add chopped ginger & garlic and fry light golden in color but do not over cook it.
-Add cubed onion, mixed capsicum, sauté for few minutes, add chili sauce, mix it well and add chopped green onion & cilantro
-Further add fried chicken and cook for few minutes.
-Finally, our dried chicken chili is ready. However, if you want creamy and saucy chicken chili, add some chicken stock or water, and thickened it with some corn starch slurry.
-Serve hot and enjoy with your family & friends.
