➖➖ Chilli cheese masala pao Recipe ➖➖

Preparing the Chilli Cheese sauce

Ingredients:

-1 tsp butter
-1 tsp Maida
-1.5 cups milk
– 1/2 tbsp chilli flakes or 1-2 chopped green chillies
-Salt to taste
-1 small finely chopped onion
– small finely chopped
capsicum
-1 cheese cube
-Herbs for seasoning (optional)

Instructions

-Heat a pan on medium flame and add 1 tsp butter along with 1 tsp maida. Stir until it’s well combined together

-Add the milk and mix well, keep stirring until the lumps have disappeared. Cook on medium to low flame until the sauce starts to thicken

-Add salt and chilli flakes to taste. Add the cheese cube or slice and mix well until the cheese has well combined with the sauce

-Add sautéed onion, capsicum. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes

-Top it with herbs if you’d like (optional)

-Once it’s ready, turn the flame.

Preparing the masala pao

Ingredients:

-4 to 5 chopped tomatoes
-3 to 4 cloves of garlic
-1/2 tsp ginger
-4 to 5 Kashmiri dried chillies
-1 to 2 tbsp oil
-1 tbsp butter
-Tomato paste
-1/2 tsp coriander powder
-a pinch of turmeric powder
– 1/4 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
-1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
-1 tsp lemon juice
-2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
-Salt to taste ( 1/2 tbsp)
-5 units of Pav (Cut in cubes/squares)

Instructions

-Grind all the ingredients in a food processor until it forms a smooth paste.

-Heat oil and butter in a pan, add the spices and tomato paste. Cook for a few minutes on a medium flame until the oil starts to separate (3 to 5 minutes). Stir occasionally

– Add lemon juice and chopped corriander (optional) and mix again. Make sure the masala is not very watery or else it will make the Pav soggy.

-Add the Pav cut in cubes and gently mix well. Ensure the Pav cubes are well coated with the masala

-Turn the flame off when it’s ready

Preparing the chilli cheese masala pao

-Put the chilli cheese sauce on the masal pao and they are ready to eat.
