Hello Towners! For week 14 of our Game Day Food & Football Series. We made Keto Low No Bean Chili. This Chili is great comfort food for those cold weather fall or winter days and it”s super easy to make. Last week on our NFL Picks we went 8-6. Let’s get to these NFL picks.
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 lb ground pork
28 oz can of tomato sauce
14 oz can of diced/crushed tomatoes
2 tbs tomato paste
1 cup of water
1 medium yellow onion
2 bell peppers
6 cloves of garlic
8 oz white mushrooms
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cumin
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Directions
Heat up a large skillet over medium high heat add olive oil and butter to the pan. Once heated add chopped onion and bell peppers to the skillet, saute for 2 minutes then add garlic and mushrooms and saute for another 30 seconds. Next, add ground beef and ground pork to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, cumin, and cinnamon. Mix all ingredients together and cook until meat has browned and liquid has reduced (strain if needed). Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and water to the meat and vegetable mix and simmer with the lid on over low heat for 1 to 2 hours.
