In this video I’ll be showing you on how to cook one of a recipe that I got from my grandma. It’s savoury, garlicky, juicy. The perfect companion for a bowl of steaming rice.

Ingredients & Directions :
Ingredients
– 1/4 kg prawn / shrimp
– a wedge of lemon / lime
– salt & pepper
– 1/2 head of garlic
– 2 medium stalk scallion
– 1 large red chili
– 1-2 tbsp light soy sauce
– 3-4 tbsp cooking oil
The quantity of all the ingredients are just the approximate, you can adjust the amount according to your preference.
Direction:
1. Peel the shrimp and keep the heads also. If you don’t want to use the head, leave the tail part intact.
2. Marinate the shrimp with salt, pepper, and the lemon juice for about 10-15 minutes.
3. Mince the garlic, scallion, and chili.
4. Heat up the pan on low heat and pour in the cooking oil.
5. Add the shrimp head, cook it until it’s crispy and take it out. If not using the heads, just skip this step.
6. Add in the garlic and chili, sau·té the garlic and chili first for about 3 minutes or so.
7. Add the shrimp, salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Cook it for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
8. Lastly add the scallion, stir until it sweats (about a minute).
9. Serve it over rice and you’re done. Enjoy!
