Spicy Tawa Fish

Ingredients for Tawa Fry Fish:
Water (for soaking) 1 ½ cup
Fish (Rohu) 1 kg
Ginger garlic paste (for soaking) 1 ½ tbsp.
Salt (for soaking) 1/2 tsp
Vinegar (for soaking) 1/2 cup
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Carom seeds 1 tsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Egg 1
Corn flour 2 tbsp
All-purpose flour 1 tbsp
Yellow food color 1/4 tsp
Oil as required
Salt 1/2 tsp / to taste

Ingredients for Tamarind Sauce:
Tamarind pulp 1 cup
Jaggery powder 1/2 cup
Salt 1/4 tsp / to taste
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Ginger powder 1 tsp

Directions for Tawa Fry Fish:
1. In a pot add ginger garlic paste, salt, vinegar, water and mix well. Add fish pieces soak them for 10-12 minutes. Pat dry them before margination.
2. In another pot add salt, red chili flakes, carom seeds, cumin powder, black pepper powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, egg, corn flour, all-purpose flour, yellow food color and mix well.
3. Add the fished pieces and marinate them well. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
4. On a pan heat oil and add marinated fish, fry each side until fully cooked.
5. Your spicy tawa fry fish is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Tamarind Sauce:
6. In a pan heat tamarind pulp and bring it to boil. Add jiggery powder and cook until fully mixed.
7. Now add salt, red chili powder and cook on low flame until sauce thickens in consistency.
8. Take off flame and add roasted cumin seeds, ginger powder. Let it cool at room temperature.
9. Your tamarind sauce is ready to be served with Spicy Tawa Fish.
