Cone Chana Chaat
Ingredients for Cone:
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Salt 1 tbsp
Water as required
Cone mould
Prepared dough
Oil (for frying)
Ingredients for Imli Chutney:
Tamarind pulp 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
Ingredients for Chana Chaat:
Black chickpeas (boiled) 3 cups
Onion (chopped) 1/2 cup
Tomatoes (chopped) 1/2 cup
Cucumber (chopped) 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Shan Chaat Masala 2-3 tbsp
Imli chutney 3-4 tbsp
Directions for Cone Preparation:
1. In a bowl add flour, salt, water and knead a smooth dough. Rest for 15-20 minutes.
2. Take the prepared dough, divide it into 4 equal parts. Make dough balls and roll them out into flat circle.
3. Take cone mould, wrap the prepared dough around it making cone shape.
4. Deep fry the dough with cone mould. Fry until the mould separates from the mould and cone becomes crispy and golden brown.
5. Your cone is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Imli Chutney Preparation:
6. In a glass jar add tamarind pulp, salt, sugar, red chili flakes and blend well into smooth paste. Your imli chutney is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Chana Chaat Preparation:
7. In a bowl add boiled chickpeas, onion, tomatoes, cucumber, red chili powder, salt, Shan Chaat Masala, imli chutney and mix well. Your Chana Chaat is ready.
8. Transfer the chaat into prepared cone. Sprinkle Shan Chaat Masala on top and serve.
9. Your Cone Chana Chaat is ready.
