Panchmel Dal, also called Panchratna dal, is a comforting one-pot Indian mixed lentil soup that is high in protein, and fiber. With only a few basic pantry ingredients, you’ll put a complete and tasty meal on the table.

INGREDIENTS
ā–¢ ¼ cup Split Gram Dal (Chana Dal)
ā–¢ ¼ cup Split Black gram lentil (split black urad dal)
ā–¢ ¼ cup Red lentils (Split Masoor Dal)
ā–¢ ¼ cup Green Gram Lentils (Green Moong Dal)
ā–¢ ¼ cup Toor Dal (Split pigeon peas)
ā–¢ 2 tablespoon Ghee use oil for vegan*
ā–¢ 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
ā–¢ 6-7 Cloves (Laung)
ā–¢ 3-4 Dry red chili
ā–¢ 2 Green chili I used serrano peppers, adjust to taste
ā–¢ ¼ teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
ā–¢ 1 cup Onion finely diced
ā–¢ 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
ā–¢ 1 ¼ cup Tomato finely diced
ā–¢ 4 cups Water
ā–¢ ½ Lime juice of
ā–¢ Cilantro to garnish
Spices
ā–¢ ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
ā–¢ 2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder adjust to taste
ā–¢ ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
ā–¢ 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
