Great tasting chili is actually very easy to make. This crockpot / slow cooker chili recipe isn’t fancy, but anyone (including kids) can make it & it turns out great every time!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 – 1 lb of lean ground beef (I use 1 lb of 90%)
3-4 8oz cans of tomato sauce
1/3 cup (about 1 packet) of French’s Chili-O Seasoning*
2 – 3 30oz cans of pinto beans
1 15oz can of mild chili beans
1 15oz can of small red beans or red kidney beans
OPTIONAL SIDES & TOPPINGS
Diced White Onion
Shredded Cheese
Cornbread
Saltines
Tony Chachere’s Bold or Regular Creole Seasoning (if you want more ZIP in your chili!āsee links below)
*Chili-O Seasoning can, sometimes, be hard to find. Kroger and Kroger-owned grocery stores (on the West Coast = Ralphs & Food 4 Less) seem to keep it in stock nationwide. It’s available online through Amazon but it usually costs less to buy it locally if you can.
