Corn Velvet Soup Recipe | How to Make Corn Velvet Soup

A Chinese inspired soup with chicken and corn. Corn Velvet Soup is very tasty and comforting soup. Make and serve to your friends and family.

Ingredients

Chicken ½ kg
Garlic paste ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Onion 1
Whole black pepper 4-6
White pepper 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Sweet corns ½ cup
Eggs 2 (lightly beaten)
Vinegar 2 tbsp
Soya sauce 2 tbsp
Corn flour 2-3 tbsp
Green chili 3-4 (sliced)
vinegar, soya sauce, chili sauce for serving
Oil 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

Put chicken and 6-8 glasses water in a pan and cook to make stock. When it starts boiling add sweet corns, onion and whole black pepper.

When half stocks left, take out chicken and sweet corn. Separate chicken from bones. Strain the stock.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic then add chicken and cook till its water dry then add strained stock.

Lightly blend sweet corns and put in stock.

Mix corn flour in ¼ cup water and pour in stock while stirring.

Put in salt and white pepper. Now pour in egg and light stir it.

Remove from heat and serve with green chilies dipped in vinegar, soya sauce and chili sauce.
