Crab Sukka is a famous mangalorean recipe. Fresh water crab recipe.
Ingredients
Crab – 1kg
Onion – 1 big finely sliced
Ginger- 1 tbspn
Garlic- 1 tbspn
Green chilli- 2
Tomato -1 medium finely sliced
Chilli powder- 1 tbspn
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
Coriander powder- 1tspn
Pepper – 1/2 tspn
Grama masala powder- 3/4 tspn
Fenugrrek powder- 1/2 tspn
Cumin powder- 3/4 tspn
Tamarind water – 1 /2 cup
Water – 1 glass
salt
Shredded coconut – 1 cup
Coconut oil – 3 tbspn
For garnishing
ghee -1 tbspn

Method
In a pan heat some oil and add the onion, ginger , garlic and green chillii, saute for a few minutes untill onion turns golden brown. Add the sliced tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy, now add turmeric, coriander, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder powder and fenugreek powder. Add tamaraind water and 1 glass of normal water and cook for 1 minute. Now add the crab and give a nice mix with the masala and cook for 10 minutes, meanwhile dry roast the shreeded coconut till golden brown and add to the curry and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
For garnishing take a pan heat 2 tbspn ghee and fry chopped onion and curry leaves. Pour it over the curry. Enjoy this crab sukka with rice
