In this video we show you how to cook the best Chilli Con Carne in a Camp Oven / Dutch Oven and also demonstrate how we prepare our food for travel using a cryovac machine.
The Chilli Con Carne is firstly cooked at home in our Dutch Oven. Then once cooled we cryovac it in meal lots. With this recipe we made 2 meals for 2 people.
After driving for 8 hours on our first day of our Outback trip, and on arrival at our first free campsite at Glenhope Station near Cobar in western New South Wales, all we had to do for dinner was slide out our gas BBQ, attach the gas line and empty the contents of the cryovacced package into our Camp Oven for reheating. A very quick and easy one pot meal.
