MASALA KALEJI (liver)
FULL RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
– Chicken liver(Kaleji) 1/2 kg (500gm)
– Oil 1/2 cup
– Red chili pwd 1 tbsp
– Turmeric pwd 1/2 tsp
– Crushed Cumin 1/2 tbsp
– Crushed Coriander seeds 1/2 tbsp
– Black pepper pwd 1 tsp
– Salt 1/2 tbsp
– Garam masala pwd 1/2 tsp
– Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp
– Onion 1 medium sliced
– Tomato 2 medium cubes
– Yogurt 2 tbsp
– Dried Fenugreek Leaves ( kasuri Methi) 1 tbsp
– Ginger , Green chilies & fresh coriander leaves for garnishing.
METHOD :
– In a pan heat oil , add sliced onion .
– When onion becomes light brown add liver( kaleji) ,ginger garlic paste and fry until it changes color.
– Add chili pwd, turmeric pwd, red chili flakes, crushed cumin, crushed coriander seeds, black pepper and fry well.
– Add tomatoes and saute for a minute and cover it until become soft.
– Add little water and cook 5 -10 mintutes.
– When liver is cooked and water dries add yogurt, salt and garam masala pwd mix well and add dried fenugreek leaves.
– Cover it for 5 minutes until oil separates.
– Garnish with julian ginger, green chilies and coriander leaves.
