Authentic Molcajete?

It was my great uncles, we dug it out of the garage. He bought at a garage sale a long long time ago. Not sure how old it is. It’s uneven and a bit wobbly, sorry about the weird counter stuff it’s rice from grinding.

Yep and need to smash rice, several time until the rice look like a powder, that process calls curar, it’s to avoid the porosity inside

How could it be un-authentic? It is a molcajete. Do you think there is a molcajete association that has strict rules regarding size, weight, number of legs, grinding stone to bowl ratio?
