Your missing out! The peppers might be spicy but I doubt the heat has transferred to the nopales.

Uh… Can I have some? Nopales? Good stuff!

Seems like they could be quite hot. Put a few nuggets in each taco to liven things up!

I’m being silly everyone. Definitely will eat them.

Easy recipe. Boil cleaned Nopales for 5 minutes to reduce slime and reduce size. Rinse under cold water.

    Add to sterilized jars.

    Add whatever you want:
    Jalapenos, fresh Chile, chili flakes
    Onion and or garlic
    Carrots
    Pickling spice or whole pepper
    Bay leaves
Uniodized sea salt or pickling salt

    60/40 ratio water to vinegar.

    Water bath for 15 minutes.

Not a ball approved recipe but inspired from their jalapeno recipe.

I used to be able to buy Nopales in my city, but I haven’t seen them in a while. Kinda bummed.

Take one of those chilis (maybe even a garlic or an onion, too) and throw it into a bottle of vodka or tequila, sewl it up and let it marinate in there for a day or 2.
Then if you have a bad cold or flu, mix some of the spicy tequila/vodka with some orange juice and drink it down. Or if brave/crazy, do a pure shot or 2.
It will clear up that congestion very well.

I used to drink “Inferno Vodka” but it was pricey so I started making my own with peppers and cheaper liquor.

    Ooh man!
What a tasty complement you have right there.
    Enjoy your meal

Yum! How long does this stay good?

Do you end up using the liquid along with the nopales?
