the ingredients i ordered online came!! i love the website i got them from, relatively cheap and super fast delivery! now I’m ready to make tacos al pastor, wish me luck! i wanted to ask if the achiote i got is good, though. They had another kind but it was slightly more expensive (one with a guy and a pig on it).

I’m a lucky enough to have a couple good markets close to me that sell this kind of stuff. One is a Mexican owned/operated market and that’s about all they sell and the other is an overgrown farm stand that sells a lot of dehydrated hot peppers. Thank God I don’t have to settle for the stuff that Walmart sells, like a lot of people do.
The achiote is good, a very common brand in mexican households.
I like to buy the actual seeds
Sourcing is going well. Yay! Guajillo dried chilis are also popular in many recipes. My pastor has a combo of guajillos and anchos, and canned chipotles, but there are so many recipe variations. You do you and enjoy the adventure.
Is that achiote paste? Or powder? (Or other)
Very nice make Al pastor flavor
Just bought my first ever ancho chillies online. Any tips on what to make?
Good stuff buddy, now you must cook ur own tacos de pastor at home
I’m sitting here thinking you ordered one thing and they sent you another.
What website?
Achiote lol tun is very acceptable, it’s basically just annato, wheat flour and citric acid.
El Yucateco has a box with a chef and a roasted turkey on it, is better but a bit more expensive.
Mmmm maybe you can cook cochinita pibil
