In a previos post I asked for suggestions on how to best preserve tomatillos. Well, we got our first harvest. I will roast, blend, portion and freeze them. My ultimate goal is to make salsa verde with them halfway around the world from Mexico and I can get every other ingredient fresh here. Wish me luck π«°

When tomatillos are available in my area l cook them up into a salsa verde, freeze it. Eat until the tomatillos come back in season.

God dammit, I’ve never even seen them that beautifully ripe. All I can get are green ones. Do they taste very different?
