Good Evening r/mexicanfood (Cross-posting from [r/NOLA](https://www.reddit.com/r/NOLA/) & [r/NewOrleans](https://www.reddit.com/r/NewOrleans/) and [r/TopSecretRecipes](https://www.reddit.com/r/TopSecretRecipes/) in hopes someone might know)

Hopefully, this isn’t against the rules- if so, I apologize!
I’ve been eating at Taqueria Corona in Metairie Louisiana for years and have been wondering what sauce/salsa they put on the table in the little round containers. Specifically the red one. it’s fantastic and been wanting to make it at home for my own tacos and dishes. Asked the owner(or manager?) and they said it was freshly made but wouldn’t say what it is specifically. Is it a Chili de Arbol sauce- or something else- Does anyone know?
Edit: Here is a picture I found online of it. I circled the sauce I’m talking about in red. it’s very spicy and kinda vinegar-y in taste. but, not like hot sauce vinegary if that makes sense.

Looks like an oil based arbol salsa. Uses typically dried arbol peppers, garlic, maybe onion, vinegar and salt.
Salsa Macha or salsa de aceite from the looks of it.
another picture would help. or a video.
does it have seeds like the black one? its more liquid than the green one?
Ask a mesero about it, give him a nice tip for the tip.
