Looks pretty worth it, especially for people just getting into creating Mexican dishes.

so there are three that stand out that make this worth it.

My Mexico and Oaxaca al gusto both by Diana Kennedy

    Oaxaca by Bricia Lopez

Kennedy, for those who aren’t familiar, was a brit who dedicated her life to learning and teaching mexican cuisine. She was a james beard award winner and a member of the Order of the Aztec Eagle, which is the highest honor by the mexican government to foreigners.

Bricia Lopez has a restaurant Guelaguetza in LA and her family is from Oaxaca. The cookbook has a lot of approachable recipes, and some difficult ones.

  2. The Mercados book is by the late David Stirling. He also wrote the most comprehensive book on food in Yucatán, Mexico. It’s called Yucatan.

The Diana Kennedy books are good. Her Oaxaca book is really comprehensive. The Bricia Lopez book is also good.
