The shredded beef was great, but overall it was meh. The nacho cheese was unnecessary and it was really hard to eat because it was so messy. I ate at location and it immediately fell apart when I opened the wrapper. I wonder if it wasn’t made well. Final thoughts, I would eat the shredded beef in a different taco.

They fucked up making this a grilled cheese taco. The shredded beef and 3cheese blend would have been a perfect taco to dip but instead they want you to take an already soggy taco and dunk it in the red sauce? I was so excited for these but the execution and price are a disaster. Now they will take this as a knock against shredded beef and take it away instead of realizing they messed up the presentation and the whole idea of birria style tacos. I don’t plan on trying this at all. But I do plan on trying the shredded beef. You can add it to any item on the menu. I’ll probably try it with a bean burrito.

This seems to be the general consensus. Ditch the gimmick taco and make shredded beef an option on all menu items for just a little bit less than the steak option. That would be a massive hit. Hell, they could probably make it a limited time thing and charge more than steak and it would still be a hit. And I mean *all*.

They should have added pico and packaged them in a cardboard sleeve like with the cantina tacos and the current locos tacos. But who knows, maybe they’d still be a sloppy mess.
I will try them once based on principal because I always try an LTO, but that’s about it.
Between this and the Grilled Cheese Burrito, I swear that someone at Taco Bell is actively trying to make part of their menu as disgusting as possible.
