Can someone explain what a “chocolate” pepper is? I’ve heard of chocolate peppers before but I dont exactly know what they mean. Are they chocolate because of color or taste?

Bismarck Chocolate organically grown, she was really fun to grow. I didn’t expect her to turn out like this, she looks MEAN. Beautiful colors too, she is purple/brown on the outside and the inside she is yellow/brown such a gorgeous pepper. This pepper here is from my first harvest of only 4, this was the meanest and biggest looking one. I cut her open and the whole kitchen smelled strongly of hot peppers but it was just her. She smells dangerous, she’s hot 🥵 i cut tiny small squares and she burns strong you will definitely feel the heat. Intense heat but goes away fairly quick, she’s enjoyable and edible. Very happy I was able to experience this plant and her fruit, it was an amazing experience 🙏🏽
