Help me ID these peppers.

So, I think I bought mislabeled plants. These were sold as Thai Hot Chili peppers, and I’m pretty sure these are *not* Thai Hots. Those are supposed to be long a and thin.

But what are they? I hope they’re at least decently hot but haven’t picked any yet. Don’t even know if they change colors when they get ripe. Are they ripe now?

These are poblanos and you can eat them now. If you let them turn red then they will get sweeter. You can dehydrate red ones to make “ancho” peppers which can be nice to use as a component of home made chili powder

I like to use green ones a lot for enchiladas and fajitas. Super yummy.

These are mildly spicy so unfortunately you are not going to get Thai chili heat out of these

definitely poblanos, personally i’d wait for them to get a little bigger but u can pick them now if you want
