My, US born, daughter prefers jamaica as she finds horchata gritty. I prefer horchata but love jamaica as well.
u/GoodOmens the recipe for jamaica is quite simple, boil your jamaica flower for 30 minutes, wait overnight, strain/remove flowers, mix your extract with water and sugar (there should be a delicate bitterness to it, too much sugar will ruin it), serve cold. Alternatively, you can squeeze a lime too.
