I’d never eaten or even seen a tamale in real life, but my husband lived in the US for several years and I like making food he loved from over there.
He said they taste just like and I am delighted.

Pork and beans is not a common filling in Mexican food. Pork is usually with green salsa. Curiously enough many other prehispanic cultures had also tamales, who knows maybe in Peru they have pork and beans tamales.
