I prefer my drinks at the temp they stay when they’ve got ice. Cold drinks also hold carbonation considerably better than warm ones, meaning you’re getting bubbles for a longer time.
Also, I’m not cheap, and I don’t worry about a couple ounces of soda.
I’d rather have 16oz of soda Ice cold than 24oz of soda cold for a few mins

I always get no ice from fast food places, because like you said it comes out cold already, plus you get some extra soda.
But since the app started to let you change to no ice, I’ve tried doing it 3 times, and it still comes with ice every time for me. They will get my food customizations correct for the most part, but the drink is coming with ice, lol.
I think it’s a good strategy, especially since there’s no telling if you’re gonna get a cup filled to the brim with ice and like an ounce of drink.
Unless TB has an ice dispenser that gives x amount per lever push? I dunno…
I’m not familiar with taco bell procedure, but ice machines get extremely gross is not cleaned regularly. Just thought I would share that knowledge nugget 😁
Baja blast hits better cold. Whenever they skimp on ice I actually ask for more.

On a side note, I got Baja Blast tonight as well but mixed it with that Dragon Paradise drink out of curiosity, holy crap, that’s a winner. Might be my new go-to.

For me, it’s not about wasting money but rather about not letting my drinks get diluted with melted ice.
I would rather drink it quickly while it’s still cold; or if it’s fine at room temperature, drink it while the ambient heat warms it

You have to check if the app happens to let you select no ice, otherwise I tend to pick up my orders right after being sent so I just ask for the cup and fill it no ice.
Imagine going through all these weird hoops when you could just get a large for 10c more 😂

I want the ice to melt into the soda to water it down and reduce the carbonation and flavor strength. Tastes better and is easier to drink imo. I tend to eat all my food besides maybe a couple sips before drinking the drink. So it has time to melt. I prefer water over anything so a watery drink is fine to me.

With the cup filled with ice, that’s more than half the volume, not just a couple of ounces. I wonder if it makes any difference if you select “light ice”.
I get ice if I’m eating there.
If I’m taking it home I get no ice. Because when I get home, I get ice out my fridge and pour it in my yeti cup. One large makes 2 cups in it, and no straw significantly makes it last longer! 😋
I order no ice, and then pour it over ice when I get home. 2 drinks for the price of 1, basically.
