They ordered $38.00 worth of food wtf,I seen a notification from my debit card pop up for Taco Bellhavent ordered in about a week,so think my card got skimmed pumping gas or some other store,I check my taco bell app sure enough here it is😱 I wrote to Taco Bell through the app for a refund ,do I contact my card provider too or wait for them to respond ,don’t think I need to get new card just deleted it off the app already

Call your issuing bank and let them know that there is fraud on your account. They likely won’t be able to do anything until the transaction posts since it was a debit card, but once it does they can reverse it. In the meantime they can issue you a new card.

Your app was hacked not the card.
I placed this same order a couple days ago and the delivery driver actually pulled up in front of my house, reported the order as delivered, and then took off.
i live very close to hillside nj and for a small fee i can go find this guy and smear nacho cheese all over his front door

Search this sub for “hacked.” Filter to a week and month. The amount of posts is alarming.
Same thing happened to my account last week. No response from Taco Bell after sending a few emails/messages about the incident
Happened to me. Someone knows your Taco Bell app pw. Change your password. The order that they made was also around $30. The order made was 5 states away. Wish Taco Bell app had a warning.

Well without that bit of context, I’d think almost any bank would flag you for making a sudden ~$40 fast food purchase on the other side of the country.
At least when the bank reverses the charge you get a free menu item out of it 🤣 never save a card to the app! Only use apple or android pay.
definitely call your bank. Can’t always trust the business to give refunds. Your bank should have your back no matter what.
Also go to http://www.privacy.com and get a burner card for apps like this.

Call your bank, they’ll dispute it and investigate for pressing charges. Then, ALWAYS use apple/google/android pay at gas stations. Never stick your card in one of those machines
Or if this is stolen form Taco Bell’s app, GOOD LUCK contacting Taco Bell. Change all account information and dispute it
Account username/password was mined. Nothing to do with the app and your CC info wasn’t compromised. Very common for a lot of online food ordering. Even used to have a subreddit here that would have people selling these food accounts.
Change you password, contact the bank to block the pending transaction.
Future solutions, see if you can get a secured card (as I am guessing you don’t have a credit card) from a place like capital one. Use this for gas and apps. (They have same day typically payment processing)
Once active switch to Google, or Apple pay (depending on your phone)
Capital one on the very few times it’s been used by an alt source is very good about fixing fraudulent transaction issues and reissuing a new card.
Wherever possible don’t use debit card.

I once had my subway app hacked. They ordered some massive expensive sub for delivery. I couldn’t cancel, but I could still edit the order. So I removed all meat, cheese and veggies, then added double of every type of sauce.
I eventually got w reimbursement via credit card chargeback, and it made me feel better knowing the prick got sloggy bread delivered.
Obviously it’s too late for you, but maybe you could have done something like that!

Same thing happened to mine a couple days ago, 5 different orders delivered to addresses in Michigan(I’m in Kentucky). Locked card, removed it from the app, called Citi and reported fraud and got a new one fex ex’d to me. Lesson learned, no more storing a card on an app.
Is your card saved in the TB app?
This happened to me with pizza hut once. They didn’t skim my card…just hacked my password.
I don’t save any cards in apps anymore for this reason.

I had someone hack our families Chipotle account. They bought over $500+ in fucking chipotle. Report it to your bank as fraud, which it is. Get a new card.
This happened to me on my Zaxby’s account. Had three orders placed for Doordash delivery within about five minutes of each other.
I changed my information and removed all cards from the account. Got a refund from my credit card, and they had to replace my card. Someone tried it again later and Zaxby’s just disabled my account.
I do have at least two of the delivery addresses. I actually called two of the Doordash drivers to stop them from delivering. I think the third got by me because it all happened so fast.
You should get a new card to be safe
Definitely call your bank. You probably won’t get a refund from Taco Bell without spending hours on hold. I placed an order online for in store pickup. I got there, and the dining room was closed for renovations. I went through the drive through. They told me they didn’t see the order and to come back on five minutes. Five minutes later, it still wasn’t there, so they told me to come back in ten. Ten minutes later, they told me to cancel. There was no way to cancel.
I went back to work and tried calling. After 40 minutes on hold, I got disconnected.
About 20 minutes later, I got a notification that the order was ready for pickup. I couldn’t get it because it was over an hour after I ordered and my lunch break was over.
I tried emailing and even contacting them on Twitter. I never heard back.
So, I wouldn’t expect to get a refund from them.
When this happened to me I canceled the order and called the taco bell. They got me the plates and I called the cops there. The people were not happy when they got there and they didn’t get any food. I changed my password and ordered new cards to be safe.
Dudes out there committing crimes but can only handle the MILD hot sauce 😂

Yup mine too, they got 86$ worth of taco bell. All i got was 3-5 business days to get a new debit card.
