Two Serranos, One Bucket

I am in central florida zone 8b. The plants on my patio grow through the winter.

Last night I pulled the last pepper plant out of my grow tent and put it into a larger container, a 5-gallon wicking bucket design I have had great success with.

Serrano.
Planted 7-24-23. 20 inches tall. Loading up on buds and flowers.

Surprise. It’s two plants!

I was not able to detangle the roots. Do you think I should leave them alone or cut one out? If I cut one out, I will try to propogate it for fun, but I’ll be starting a round of peppers from seed in my grow tent around November 22 anyway.

In my experience, one of the plants should be removed. You’re probably not going to get too much more growth out of them if you keep them like this. I usually just cut as close to the base of the plant as possible. Good luck propping that thing. Serranos are my favorite pepper!
