Same as any other tortilla. Get a comal or a flat iron pan. Don’t put the tortilla directly on the burner because it will get burnt and the charred pieces will fall on your stove.

You need a comal or a pan. Let the pan warm up and heat directly.
robbietreehorn
Like that.
However, I recently bought a pack of raw tortillas from Costco and I’m never going back to cooked store bought.
I used to make them, but find it to be a pain in the ass. The raw ones, especially from Costco, are 95% as good as homemade. Cooked store bought are 40% as good
hamburglerized
Gonna get murdered but honestly half the time I nuke them for like 15 seconds
Lazzen
Just like that

I sometimes do what you’ve done, and sometimes I heat them on my cast iron griddle (and I’d heat them on a comal if I had one). But also, I make them fresh, both corn and flour, and for that only my griddle will do. And when I finally get my comal, maybe only that will do.
chuddlyfe
youre doing it the RIGHT way.
exquisitopendejo
My dad does this and it’s annoying as fuck because I have to clean the stove. You at your house go nuts.

Don’t put them in the refrigerator unless you bought them and they where in a refrigerator

We use a Comal, you can get one from Walmart pretty cheap.

Just like your picture shows. That’s the way my grandma and mom did it and the way I do it now. Gotta be quick with the flip especially with corn tortillas.
imwithstoopad
First time i had them this way was a friend of mines mom who didn’t speak any english. It was just a plain tortilla and it made such a huge difference. I had no idea. I still remember this 30+ years later

I have a comal that a friend’s father in Mexico made by hand. I use it almost daily (I eat a lot of tortillas).
PissWarmChango91
Just like that. Ain’t got no time to be waiting for the comal to heat up. 🍳
ggm3bow
i do like the toasty taste, however, flame to high. Next time use a medium or low-medium flame. Will cook up just right.

On my comal.

All American tortillas taste like plastic, luckily I’m next to the border so I can get them from the motherland. 🤙🏻
