The rice on my arroz con leche is overcooked and mushy. What can I do to salvage it?

The flavor is good, it’s just too mushy

Hey, I think you upload the wrong pic. These are clearly frijoles bayos

You can lossen it up with water. Just add a bit at a time until it gets to how you want it!

Arroz con leche? Where’s the leche? Looks like you made a pudding.

You would need like a gallon of milk to loosen it and separate it, might be too late but you can try it, make sure the milk is as close to boiling first before adding and mixing/separating.

Put into a tupperware or a cake mold and let it firm up while cooling. Cut into 1″ thick slices and fry in butter.

Eat it lol. If it tastes good and there’s nothing wrong with it besides the texture….. maybe even toss it in ice cream. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Ya got what ya got, but if it tastes good, don’t toss it. Pop it in the fridge and it’ll firm up in 24 hours.

Did you rinse the rice before you cooked it?
