Did you use any rewards or coupons on it?
I had an issue today redeeming the remainder of a gift card and adding a different payment method. The order total was 2 cents more than my remaining card balance, and when I tried to add Apple Pay it tried charging me the full order amount rather than the difference after the gift card balance. I tried to push it through anyway and it kicked back for “invalid payment type” but got an Apple wallet notification anyway. Frustrating for sure.
I had that problem today. I removed my drinks and the order went through.
