Sardines fishball with sweet chili sauce

Ingredients:

Sardines fishball

1 can ligo sardines
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup onion
3 cloves garlic
1 small carrot
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup water
1 cup cooking oil

Sweet sauce

2 cups water
5 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp cornstarch
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup onion
2 thai chili ( optional )
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions:

Sweet sauce

– In sauce pan add water, soy sauce, brown sugar and cornstarch
– Stir until cornstarch dissolves
– Set stove top to medium heat and cook for 6 minutes
– After 6 minutes add garlic, onion, thai chili, salt and pepper
– Stir until sauce thicken

Sardines fishball

– Add sardines in a bowl and remove bones
– Mash sardines and add garlic, onion, carrots and mix
– Add all purpose flour, baking powder, water and mix
– Add sugar, salt, pepper and mix well
– Heat pan in medium heat and add 1 cup cooking oil
– Use 2 spoon to shape sardinesfishball mixture
– Scoop 1/2 tbsp
– Fry each side for 2 minutes or until golden brown
– Place in paper towel to remove excess oil
– Serve with sweet sauce and enjoy!
