Chicken In Black Bean Sauce Stir Fry Recipe | Chicken Stir Fry With Pepper And Onion

5 oz/140 g bell pepper
3.5 oz/100 g onion
1/8 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp rice wine

4 slices of ginger
2 green onion stems
4 cloves of Garlic, minced
1 1/2 tbsp fermented black bean(salted/preserved black bean)
2 tsp rice wine

12 oz/340 g chicken
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/4 tsp sugar
7 tsp corn starch
1/4 tsp white pepper powder
1 1/2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp oil

1 tsp rice wine
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 cup water

hi everyone welcome to cook Stacy cook
today we are making chicken and bell
pepper stir fry in black bean sauce this
is an easy dish to make and it goes very
well with some rice the fermented black
bean gives this dish is signature
mouthwatering taste I will show you how
to use extra fantic black beans to make
this dish let’s get
started we will start by cutting some
bell peppers into bsize pieces I am
using red and green bell pepper for more
appealing
look next we will cut up half of an
onion into bsize pieces
too take the time to break up the onion
now we will also need a few slices of
Ginger four cloves of garlic finally
minced and two green onions St sprit
them in half lengthwise and cut them
into two in
sections now the key ingredient the
fermented black beans you can find them
in Asian grocery stores or on Amazon
they also called salted black beans or
preserved black beans rinse them in
running water to reduce the saltiness
and let them drain lastly we will cut
some chicken into slices
marinate them with soy
sauce dark soy sauce
sugar corn
starch a little bit of white pepper
powder some water and a little bit of
baking soda mix the marinade and the
chicken
together and then mix in a touch of oil
now we are ready to cook heat up the pan
over medium high heat and add some oil
when the oil is hot add a little bit of
sugar and salt to the oil and
immediately add the bell
pepper briefly stirfry the bell peppers
for about 1
minute and then add the onion we add the
bell peppers first because they are
thicker than and the onion and takes a
little longer to cook continue to stir
fry until the onion is coated with oil
then add a touch of rice
wine stir fry a little longer to cook
off the rice wine then remove everything
from the
pan now add a little more oil to the pan
if needed and add the ginger to the
oil let the ginger Sizzle in the oil
briefly to release its
flavor then add the green onion and the
minced
garlic stir fry everything in the pan
until the garlic starts to turn light
golden then add the fermented black
beans continue to stir fry briefly until
you can smell the flavor of the black
beans then turn the heat to low and add
some rice wine stir fry everything over
low heat for 1
minute the combination of the rice wi
and the fermented black beans as well as
cooking them for a while over low heat
helps to elevate the flavor of the black
beans and bring out the signature Taste
of this
dish after stir frying them for a minute
we can remove everything from the
pan now turn the heat back up to medium
high and add a little more oil to the
pan and we will stir fry the
chicken spread the chicken now in the
pan and let them pan fry until the
bottom is
golden then add the black bean in the
rest of the aromatics back to the pan
mix the aromatics and the chicken
together
and add a little more rice
wine stirfry the chicken briefly to cook
off the rice
wine and then add a little bit of dark
soy sauce regular soy sauce oyster
sauce and a touch of
sugar continue to stir fry the chicken
until the color looks even
then add some
water once the water starts to thicken
up we can add the bell peppers and onion
back to the pan now all we have to do is
give everything a few more TOS to mix
them together and we are
done as you can see the color of this
dish is not as dark as when you use
starb bar black bean sauce that comes in
the jar but the flavor you get from
using extra fantic black bean is sharper
and more natural than using pre-made
black bean
sauce this dish is very flavorful if you
have not cooked with fertic black beans
before I recommend you give this dish a

  5. All of these comments about “too much sugar” are laughable! Add it up … there isn’t even 1 teaspoon total in it! You need the sugar to tone down the soy sauce. Thank you, Stacey! Can’t wait to try it!
