Talked about these guys on this sub a few times now. I felt I’ve spent enough time with them to give a dedicated full honest review of all their sauces.
Alliumphobia: This sauce is currently my favorite sauce out of all the sauces I own. The flavor profile is garlicky green peppers followed by the taste of lemon juice. Its kind of like a fully strained fresh salsa verde. Serve this sauce cold as the cold really brings out the flavor and even a small amount of heat. I found the flavors were a bit diluted when served warm.
Mango Hellbanero: This might sound weird, but imagine a mango flavored Texas Pete or Crystal. It’s an acidic blend of mango and habanero where neither flavor overpowers the other. I keep this sauce in the fridge for the same reasons I keep alliumphobia in the fridge.
Ghost #7: Almost tastes like ghost pepper juice and I love that. I describe the smell of freshly cut ghost peppers as smoky, floral, and even grape-like. That’s almost what this sauce tastes like. There are some subtle flavors especially from the carrots. Heat level is high as expected and it will burn its way out. However I find it to be edible enough that I could probably put it on anything.
Satan’s Tears: Basically ghost pepper juice. Flavor is very similar to how I described Ghost #7, but it substitutes the subtle flavors for a much bolder ghost pepper flavor. Just look at the color difference between this and Ghost #7. I’d say the heat goes up a level or two compared to Ghost #7. Still edible enough to put on anything.
It is $18 however, which is a steep price. I asked the maker about it and he explained the sheer amount of ghost peppers used are very expensive.
If y’all are interested, I recommend their Etsy page instead of their main webpage. Etsy is where they’ll have sales and also discounted bundles.
