


This is the first time I’ve tried an official “Hot Ones” sauce. I’d always thought they were a bit too pricey on Heatonist, but when Publix started a recent BOGO sale on them I knew I had to pick some up.
I made some wings with this one last night and I’m really impressed. It has a really full flavor, it’s one of the best tasting Arbol sauces I think I’ve had.
I like the garlic and the blend of two vinegars too – using the distilled vinegar in the mash and apple cider vinegar added later gives it a nice tang plus complexity in how that flavor develops.
Not too hot at all, probably at the level just above Frank’s or Crystal.
So far it’s gone great with everything I’ve tried it on. This makes an awesome general purpose table sauce IMO.
