This is the second sauce from Montana’s Blind Hot Sauce I’ve tried. The first was their Habanero Smoke which was by far the smokiest sauce I’ve ever tried in my life.
I was expecting this to be a sweet sort of dessert sauce, which I haven’t had in a while, but it ended up being something different yet still absolutely delicious.
Despite having both the Huckleberries and the honey this isn’t a super sweet sauce. There’s some sweetness but it’s more than balanced out by the habanero heat and flavor plus some onion and garlic.
The result is fruity and juicy with a spicy and savory overall flavor. I tried this on chicken and steak and it worked out great. This is a perfect meat sauce. I bet it would be absolutely phenomenal on some game meat like Elk or Venison, but I don’t have a source for that at the moment.
This is a delicious and unique sauce I definitely recommend trying.
